The general target of the project is to increase the economic efficiency of the Romanian transport network and make improvements in terms of travel speed between Comarnic and Predeal, decongesting the traffic on the existing route (DN1), thus improving connectivity at the regional level.

The project concerns, in detail, the fluidisation of road traffic through the construction of two strategic junctions between the national road DN1 and the respective main roads, Boulevard Republicii (South Sinaia), Boulevard Ferdinand (North Sinaia).

The project will be carried out by Metroul S.A. and Italrom Inginerie Internationala S.r.l. which, together with other similar projects in the localities of Predeal and Comarnic, confirms the positive trend of work with CNAIR S.A.

The contract provides for the completion of the entire project by the year 2021 - 2022.
