In a JV with Egis (leader), Italrom Inginerie Internationala S.r.l. signed the contract for the realization of the feasibility study necessary for the modernization of the Predeal - Brasov railway section, with an offer worth 14.2 million Lei (about 3 million €). The project will be finalized to allow CFR SA to organize the tender for the works of a highly complex section of the route for the many major art-works which will be necessary to cross the mountainous areas of Transilvania.

Considering the projects in Romania already acquired and nearing completion such as the Curtici-Simeria (about 80km) and the Craiova-Caransebes (about 230km), Italrom confirms the positive trend in the railway sector.

Great satisfaction was also given to the excellent work developed during the tender in synergy with Egis, one of the most important international design groups.
